Hi, my name is eric.
I’ve been in the fitness business for about a decade now. I’ve trained thousands of floor hours, spent thousands more on learning and development, sold hundreds of thousands of dollars in training, and found a way to both enjoy and love this job.
The one thing I still don’t love is the quality of our industry. I hate seeing bad trainers hurting clientele and hurting good trainers’ image, chances of success, and ability to feel pride in what they do. I especially don’t like that, as long as they make money, the people who employ trainers… don’t seem to care. So, I’m entering a second largely-grifty space… business coaching. I’m going to show the trainers who want to be good how to be good and profitable… without working themselves to death. And I promise, I am currently significantly less hairy than in this photo. Hit me up below, I’d love to hear from you!
My Approach
Craftsmanship
Everything you want in personal training hinges on your ability to do one of two things: grift your ass off, or be really good at personal training. I want to help you become the best trainer you can be.
It is my sincere conviction that it’s hard to be unhappy as a trainer if you are making the money you want to make, working the schedule you want to work, and working with people you enjoy. I am generally convinced that would make most jobs hard to hate, but I know it’s true for just about everyone in personal training. Based on that, I developed the Three Ships curriculum.
Relationship
Figuring out who you want to work with, who you don’t want to work with, and how to maximize your exposure to the first while avoiding the second, can take some work. Fortunately, I’m here to help.
The “pirate ship”
Pirates anchored their careers around two ideas: professional control, and acquiring treasure. Their methods will not be our methods, but with any luck, riches and freedom are ours to be had.
